Unbelievably Progressive Fitness is going to be 10 years old next week and that falls at the same time we opened The Unit 1 year ago. To celebrate both of these landmark birthdays we are having an open evening at The Unit.
We would love for you to join us for this occasion on Monday 26th September, 1800 – 2030 here at The Unit.
This event is free to attend, all you need to do is register your place online so we know how many people to plan for! Everyone who comes will be entered in to a draw to win membership at both The Unit and Boot Camp.
Come down and try out some challenges we will have set out such as Beat The Trainer, Yulia’s Yoga challenge and a #22 Press up challenge. Plus we will have Nurture Your Body giving out advice and 15 min massages to anyone who needs them. We will be raising money on the night for Combat Stress too so please bring any spare change you have for donations and for the silent auction! So just sign up today and let us you know you’re coming. If you need more persuading then there will be some bubbly after the challenges too…after all it is a celebration!

This is an event that is seriously taxing on the body all of our teams did amazingly well and I’m really proud of every single person who took part.

We had a mixed team of 8 Boot Campers and Unit members who all made a huge team effort of at least 3 x 5 mile laps each. I was in the men’s team with trainer Phil Mace, boot campers and unit members all did amazingly well. Bearing in mind that we are not a running club and focus on all elements of fitness we ended up coming 7th out of 33 teams – and we weren’t being competitive!
The ladies team of 5 each putting in 30 miles each were awesome coming 8th. Three lady solo runners all covered over 40 miles.
Well done to all who took part.
Here’s some of my favorite equipment from the Unit. I expect you’ve seen some of it before but Maybe you’ve not used it or been shown how to use it. Over the next few days I will show you some of my favorite exercises on each of them and see what you think.
Meet Elona, one of our clients at The Progressive Fitness Unit. She struggled to get child care today for her PT session. Rather than cancel we told her to bring Zander along and see how it went with him there. He actually laughed at her a few times and I got a workout swinging him in that chair!
My point? No excuses here at the Unit. We would rather our clients train than miss a session to reasons like this. Time is precious especially to parents with young kids.
